CMSV Live Streaming Footage Display Issues and Solutions

After following Shelleyes‘ guidance to create a CMSV account and add devices, users may encounter another issue during the initial use of CMSV: live streaming footage not displaying. This is often due to incorrect settings on the body-worn camera. Shelleyes will help users identify the causes and provide corresponding solutions.

Live Streaming Footage Display Common Causes and Solutions

    1. WIFI and 4G Not Connected

Cause: Users might have forgotten to enable WIFI or 4G.

    Solution:

Use Cam Manager to check the status of WIFI and 4G on the Body camera.

If using WIFI to connect to the CMSV platform, ensure the SSID and password are correct.

If using 4G to connect to the CMSV platform, verify that 4G is enabled.

    2. Incorrect CMSV IP Setting/Protocol Selection

Cause: Users might have forgotten to update the default CMSV IP to their own fixed IP.

Solution: Use Cam Manager to modify the default IP in the CMSV IP field to the user’s own fixed IP.

    3. CMSV Server Setting Issues

    Cause:

    Incorrect WAN/LAN IP address configuration.

    Inconsistent port settings.

    Solution:

Ensure WAN/LAN IP addresses are correctly configured (in a single-server environment, the LAN address can be set to 127.0.0.1, and the WAN address should be the actual address used).

    Troubleshooting Live Streaming Failures

Check that console ports match WEB server management ports to avoid port conflicts that might prevent video streams from displaying.

    Other Possible Causes

    • Device Setting Errors: Verify that all device settings are correct, including video stream protocols (ensure the CMSV platform’s video stream protocol is used).
    • Network Environment Issues: Check if the network environment is stable. Users should confirm that video streams can be transmitted smoothly using a data card with sufficient traffic.
    • Software or Hardware Issues: If the above methods do not work, consider updating the device software using a USB drive or checking for hardware faults.

By checking and adjusting these settings, users should be able to resolve the issue of CMSV live streaming footage not displaying.
