1.Battery Terminal for Built-in Batteries
Body cameras with built-in batteries typically do not allow users to directly remove or replace the battery. As a result, the battery connection methods are more fixed and integrated. Common connection methods include:
1.1 Soldered Connection
- Description: The battery is directly soldered to the motherboard or circuit board using heat-resistant solder for secure attachment.
- Application Scenario: This connection method is commonly found in compact body cameras with tight structural designs. It ensures a firm connection between the battery and circuit board, preventing loose connections and providing more stable power transmission.
1.2 Pin Type Terminals
- Description: The built-in battery connects to the circuit board using a pogo-pin connector. The battery’s leads or pins are inserted into the corresponding slots of the connector to create an electrical connection.
- Application Scenario: Suitable for larger body cameras or devices that need easy disassembly for maintenance.

1.3 FPC/FFC Connection (Flexible Printed Circuit/Flexible Flat Cable)
- Description: Flexible printed cables (FPC/FFC) are used to connect the battery to the circuit board via flexible circuits. This method is often used in ultra-thin body cameras.
- Application Scenario: Commonly used in lightweight devices, this connection saves internal space.
2. Battery Terminal for Replaceable Batteries
Body cameras with replaceable batteries allow users to directly remove and replace batteries when they are depleted or reach the end of their lifespan. These devices usually adopt more user-friendly connection methods, ensuring the battery can be easily installed and removed. Common connection methods include:
2.1 Slide-in Battery Compartment
- Description: The battery slides into the device’s compartment, and metal contacts between the device and battery provide the power connection. This design is similar to the battery compartments found in digital cameras and other electronic devices.
- Application Scenario: Widely used in body cameras with replaceable batteries, especially in law enforcement where frequent battery swaps are required.


2.2 Snap-on Battery Connection
- Description: The battery connects to the device through a snap-on mechanism, usually with a locking system to ensure the battery is securely installed. Users can easily install or remove the battery by pressing the snap.
- Application Scenario: This connection method is often used in body cameras operating in intense environments, ensuring that the battery remains secure during vigorous movement or impacts.
