Guest Mode
The Guest Mode feature allows the device to operate with restricted permissions, ensuring it cannot be misused. This is particularly suitable for scenarios requiring controlled access to body cameras, enhancing security and operational management.
Function Overview
- Turn On Guest Mode:
- When Guest Mode is activated on body cameras with screens, the screen will turn off and be disabled, and all buttons except for the intercom button, SOS button, and night vision button will be deactivated. This ensures guest users cannot freely operate other device functions, enhancing security.
- For devices without screens, Guest Mode only restricts function operations, as screen-related settings are not applicable.
- Button Restrictions:
- In Guest Mode, only specific buttons (e.g., intercom, SOS, night vision) remain functional. All other buttons are disabled to limit guest users to basic functionalities and prevent unauthorized changes or shutdowns.
Exiting Guest Mode
- Cannot Exit via Buttons:
- Users cannot exit Guest Mode or power off the device using its buttons while in Guest Mode. This prevents unauthorized attempts to disable the mode.
- Exit via Cam Manager:
- To exit Guest Mode or shut down the device, users must connect the body camera to Cam Manager. Using Cam Manager’s Power Off or Guest Mode Off options ensures that only authorized personnel can control these actions.
This feature provides robust control over device functionality while maintaining security in environments requiring restricted access.
