2. How Does It Work?
Pogo Pins work by:
- Spring-loaded design that allows the pin to maintain consistent pressure and contact with the mating surface;
- Conductive metal tips that ensure strong electrical conductivity and low resistance;
- Pins are grouped together to separately handle power supply and data transmission.
When a body camera is docked, the Pogo Pins on the docking station align with contact pads on the bottom of the device, enabling simultaneous charging and data upload without the need for manual cable insertion.
3. Maintenance recommendation
Over time, Pogo Pins can accumulate dust, oil, or oxidation, which may lead to:
- Unstable USB connections;
- Slow or intermittent charging;
- Data upload errors or interruptions.
