Pre-record
Pre-record feature is a highly practical setting designed to ensure that critical moments are not missed due to delayed recording activation. When enabled, the device automatically records a segment of video before the user presses the record button, capturing events from the preceding seconds or minutes.
Function Overview

Automatic Frame Capture:
When the Pre-Record function is enabled, the device begins recording automatically before the user presses the record button. This ensures that even if recording is not initiated promptly, key moments are still captured and saved. This feature is particularly useful for avoiding missed footage due to reaction delays or failure to start recording in time.
Pre-Record Duration Settings:
- Users can customize the pre-record duration using Cam Manager, offering flexible options for starting points:
- OFF: Disables pre-recording; the device only starts recording after pressing the record button.
- 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds: Suitable for capturing sudden short-term events.
- 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes: Ideal for longer event recordings, ensuring that content preceding scene changes is automatically saved.
Important Notes:
The pre-recording feature only functions when the device is powered on.
If the device has just been powered on and has not yet been running for the full duration of the configured pre-recording time, the resulting video file will not include the complete pre-recorded segment.
For example: If the pre-recording is set to 30 seconds but the device has only been on for 10 seconds before recording starts, the video will include a maximum of 10 seconds of pre-recorded footage.
To ensure the pre-recording feature works properly, it is recommended to keep the device powered on for a sufficient amount of time before beginning to record.
This feature enhances operational efficiency by ensuring important footage is always captured, even during unexpected or rapidly unfolding situations.
