S8 Firmware Update Instruction
1. Prepare Tools:
Download and install the USB driver and upgrade tool provided by Shelleyes on a Windows PC.
- Install “Driver.msi”
- Load Firmware File:
Launch the upgrade tool (PhoenixUSBPro -4.06) and click the "Image" button to load the corresponding firmware file (usually a.imgfile).
- Tick the “Reboot”, “Erase All” and “Pull out USB” options on the upper right
- Click “Start” and you will see a green tick on the right.
Turn off the body camera, press and hold the “Confirm” button, and insert the USB cable; then press the power button repeatedly (keep pressing until you see the progress bar).
Wait for the firmware to upgrade, it may take a few minutes (please do not disconnect during this process).
The progress bar is all green and loaded to 100% indicating that the firmware upgrade is complete.
Verify Upgrade Result: After rebooting, check the firmware version in the device’s settings menu or via the PC management (Cam Manager) to confirm that the upgrade was applied successfully.
