When DEMS is unable to detect or read all connected body cameras, it is typically due to software version mismatch, device conflicts, or improper connection order. To resolve this issue, follow the standard procedure below:

Standard Procedure

  1. Verify DEMS Software Version
    • Ensure the DEMS client software is version 4.6.
    • Older or unofficial versions may not support full docking station functionality.
  2. Check Body Camera Serial Numbers
    • Confirm that each connected body camera has a unique serial number.
    • Duplicate serial numbers can cause device conflicts and prevent proper recognition.
  3. Follow the Correct Connection Sequence
    • First, launch the DEMS software.
    • Then, connect the body cameras to the docking station one by one (instead of all at once).
    • This sequence helps the system register each device properly.
  4. Set an Appropriate USB Scan Interval
    • Go to settings and ensure the USB Scan Interval is set to 10 seconds.
    • A shorter interval may result in unstable recognition or upload failure.
