After purchasing and receiving the body cameras from Shelleyes, you need to make some necessary settings to make it a handy tool. In this whole process, we will use the body cameras management software – Cam manager (by scanning the QR code on the first page of the manual and then go to Google drive to download and install it), according to the following steps to set up the necessary functions.
Step 1: Connect The Body Camera To Your Computer
First connect the device (body cameras) to the computer with a data cable, after the machine and computer are connected, the machine will voice prompt connect successfully.
Afterwards, open Cam Manager and enter the initial password in this left input box, then click Connect Device

Step 2: Device ID Setting
Usually in the factory, Shelleyes will set the initial ID of the machine for the CMSV software platform login, the subsequent user can change the ID of the machine as needed (need to be a combination of numbers and uppercase characters of the seven-digit), such as the location shown in the figure, in the input of your own set of equipment ID, and then click on the APPLY, show the success of it

Step 3: WiFi Setting
First turn on the WiFi function of your device.
STA or AP mode selection：
Usually you need body cam to connect to the router, then choose to turn on the WIFI STA mode; to connect to the cell phone is to choose to turn on the AP mode.
Then enter the Name and Password of the WiFi you want to connect as shown in the picture. Finally, click Apply, and then it will be prompted to Settings Update, this time it means that the machine WiFi setup is successful.

Step 4: 4G Setting (Switch 4G Mode and Ensure Connection)
1. Turn off WiFi and WiFi STA Mode
- Make sure both the camera’s WiFi function and WiFi STA mode are turned off.
- Normally, with this setting, the camera can connect to the 4G network without issues.
Note:
- If only WiFi STA mode is turned off but the WiFi function remains on, the camera will enter AP Mode (releasing a hotspot), so it cannot switch to 4G mode.
2. Enable 4G and Check Connection
- After turning off both WiFi and STA mode, enable the 4G mode.
- If the camera still cannot connect, you need to manually enter the SIM card’s APN information.
3. Reference Settings
- Please follow the settings shown in the figure below to switch 4G mode.
Step 5:CMSV Server IP Setting
Usually Shelleyes will give you a test server IP for logging into CMSV and testing the function of the machine.
Subsequent consideration of the user’s experience, they need to install their own server. Then after the installation of their own server will need to change to their own server IP
