1. Real-Time Video Latency Performance

This is the most critical difference between the client and web versions:

  • The CMSV Client uses the UDP protocol by default for video transmission. UDP enables faster data transfer with lower latency, making it ideal for scenarios requiring high real-time responsiveness, such as remote command and dispatch monitoring. Users can also switch to TCP if needed.
  • The CMSV Web Platform uses TCP protocol for video streaming. While TCP ensures data integrity, it introduces higher latency, making it less suitable for real-time applications.
