What to Do If the Device Cannot Be Recognized by DEMS?
If your body camera is not recognized by the DEMS system after being connected, you can troubleshoot by following these steps:
1. Check the Device Connection
Ensure that the body camera is properly inserted into the USB port or Docking Station, and verify that the physical connection is stable.
2. Replace the USB Cable or Port
Try using a different USB data cable or switch to another USB port on the computer to rule out cable faults or port issues.
3. Adjust the USB Scan Interval
In the DEMS system settings, increase the USB scan interval as needed. It is recommended to set it to 10 seconds to allow the system more time to detect newly connected devices.
4. Restart the Service or Device
Restart the DEMS backend service, or reboot the computer and reconnect the body camera. This can help resolve cache issues or port conflicts.
⚠️ If the device still cannot be recognized after following the steps above, please contact Shelleyes Technical Support and provide the device model, connection method, and system logs for further analysis and assistance.
